Planning your first collection? Use the clothing launch checklist.

Before you start.

A few things worth knowing.

Can I start my next clothing drop from a previous launch?

Yes. Open Plan your next drop in a saved launch. Review the previous brief, choose current brand preferences and published creative preferences, and optionally carry forward a currently approved Demand & fit size scenario. The new draft starts with fresh budget and date fields and open artwork and sample readiness. Unfinished edits can be resumed in the same browser tab for up to 24 hours, with changed source choices shown for a fresh review. Its source history keeps the selected size assumptions visible for the new team. An owner or admin reviews reuse; each launch still needs its own scope, pricing, production approvals and bookings. If the brief or total changes, the historical size reference is flagged for review and can be set aside for future handoffs.

How do I plan shot coverage and review the final shoot files?

Open the shoot workspace in a saved launch with photography, models or video. Propose a shot list from the selected merchandise collection, or add your own actual garments and colorways. Record sample sizes and styling, review included shots, then build a call sheet using the launch's booked creatives. An owner or admin approves coverage; blankup verifies shoot readiness separately. Delivered file links stay attached to their exact shot and recorded usage for approval or change requests. Collection changes flag earlier coverage for review rather than silently approving new variants.

Can I reuse approved artwork and production details for another clothing drop?

Yes. In your merchandise workspace, bind an existing design from your library and open the production passport. Reuse a confirmed specification, review the garment and artwork differences, and save a new draft. The passport keeps colorways, artwork measurements, placement instructions and sample feedback by version. Each new run requires its own specification confirmation; changing a garment color updates the other saved placements on that garment for review.

How does blankup connect merchandise production with a photoshoot?

Each saved launch has a shared timeline for artwork, sample arrival, creative team readiness, the shoot, edited assets and merchandise delivery, based on your selected services. Requested, estimated, confirmed and completed dates stay separate. Changes show affected milestones before saving; missing durations, expired crew holds and date conflicts stay visible. Connected artwork and delivery records supply their actual status. The team records other updates with a source, and confirms scope and bookings separately.

Can I change my launch brief after saving it?

Yes. Edit your brief and preparation details in your workspace before proposal approval. Earlier briefs stay in project history. Brief handoffs compares the current launch with connected merchandise and design planning notes, highlights later changes and keeps the team's comparison record. Connected work retains its own details and approval steps. Changing a quoted brief requires a revised proposal; changes after approval must be agreed with blankup.

Can I request merchandise, models and a photoshoot together?

Yes. Build a Launch studio brief with the services you need, choose talent preferences from published profiles, and submit it through your workspace. blankup reviews the scope and provides a written proposal before any booking or production is confirmed.

Can I use my own designer or order creative services without merchandise?

Yes. Every package is a starting point. Remove services you already have covered, add photography or video, and include your existing team in the brief. You can request creative services without an apparel order.

How do I choose a designer, model, photographer or videographer?

Browse published portfolios and add preferences to your launch brief. In a saved launch's team workspace, matches explain service, location and specialty fit, current availability declarations and rate scope. Missing or expired declarations stay unconfirmed. Request a check from blankup, review a sourced hold and project-specific offer, then approve the exact terms before booking confirmation. Overlapping holds and bookings are checked on the creative's shared calendar; other customers' project details remain private.

What does a launch package cost?

Launch packages are quoted individually. Garment quantities, artwork, talent, location, shoot length, edited assets, usage rights and delivery dates determine the scope. Your written proposal confirms the total, inclusions and terms before you approve it.

Can I compare a lower-budget clothing launch without starting the quote again?

Yes. Open Budget & tradeoffs in your saved launch, set what must stay the same and what can flex, and request a comparison. blankup prepares reviewed alternatives using current merchandise quotes and scoped creative offers, or documented quote references. Each option separates merchandise, creative work, delivery and travel, tax and duties, and other costs. Unquoted costs stay open; estimates are labelled. Compare scope, usage and date certainty alongside price. Choosing an option requests a revised proposal and preserves the exact terms you reviewed. Existing approvals, bookings and production releases remain separate.

What does the AI launch planner do?

In a signed-in workspace, AI can turn your brief into a suggested creative direction, shot list and questions to resolve. You review the suggestions. AI does not book talent, approve artwork, set prices or place orders. The package builder also works without AI.

Can blankup turn my approved products and photos into a storefront launch kit?

Yes. Open the storefront launch kit in a saved launch, bring in the selected collection or shoot garments, and confirm the actual product facts. Select current approved shoot deliveries or add your own file links. Record each file’s visual description and the agreement covering its intended use. Draft product descriptions, SEO titles, SEO descriptions and alt text from confirmed facts, with optional saved AI drafts. An owner or admin reviews the exact listing before downloading product CSV, an ordered asset-map CSV or the complete JSON kit. Unknown details stay open, retail prices are entered by the brand, and size labels do not imply inventory. Exports prepare a store handoff; they do not publish to a storefront.

Can I reuse brand decisions on my next clothing launch?

Yes. Owners and admins can save confirmed fit, placement, packaging, creative direction and recurring content preferences in a versioned brand decision library, including directions to avoid. Review each launch to reuse, override or skip individual preferences. You can see the previous choice beside a changed library version and remove preferences from future reuse. The AI planner uses only current choices explicitly reviewed for that launch. Preferences do not replace production approvals or content agreements; changing a quoted launch’s choices requests a revised proposal.

Can I use sales and return data to plan the sizes in my next clothing drop?

Yes. Open Demand & fit in a saved launch and import aggregate counts for one product and sales window: fulfilled units, returns, too-small and too-large reasons, and days each size was available. Confirm the source, then choose your next-run total and compare an observed sales mix or enter a manual plan. Stock gaps, fit feedback and limited data stay visible; the baseline does not estimate lost sales or future demand. Review the exact scenario before downloading its size CSV or requesting a team response. Source revisions preserve earlier plans and require a new review. The workflow does not connect to your store or place an order.

Can I see all the outstanding decisions for my clothing launch in one place?

Yes. The private Decision inbox brings together open brief and proposal questions, timing and production checks, creative team arrangements, shoot reviews, budget alternatives, storefront files, content usage and next-run planning. Related source signals share one conversation. Filter by launch or responsible team, record ownership and follow-up dates, prepare an editable response from the displayed facts, and keep review history attached. Changed context needs a fresh response. Resolve source checks in their actual workspace; acknowledging a conversation does not approve production or book talent. New questions and responses stay in the workspace without sending email.

Are image usage and model permissions included automatically?

Usage terms need explicit agreement. In a saved launch, the content usage ledger connects current approved shoot deliveries and brand-owned kit files to recorded agreement versions and an intended campaign. Record channels, territories, dates, relevant parties and conditions, then have operations review the exact file and evidence. Changed files, campaigns, kit destinations, agreement versions, withdrawals and ended campaigns surface review needs. You can reuse campaign setup and download private review records. The ledger and AI planner do not grant permissions or replace the underlying agreement.
